RICH PEREZ | Pastor of Vision & Teaching
“There are very few days that I wake up without dreams driving my day. I fight to dream big about what God's church can be and I talk about it...a lot. I love my job.”
Accepting the call of Jesus at a young age, Rich has always had a heart and deep love for the community of Washington Heights. It was in his early twenties that Rich felt the compelling desire and call to be a pastor and ultimately plant a church in the very place he was born and raised. In 2011, Christ Crucified Fellowship was born and Rich’s love for all forms of art, (music, literature, design) have been instruments of displaying the goodness and peace of God in the city. Jesus is the heartbeat of him and the congregation alike.
Rich attended Elim Bible institute and trained in Biblical and Theological studies. He also studied under Redeemer's pastoral incubator program. He currently lives in Inwood, with his wife Anna and their two children, Josiah and Hayden.
KENNETH HART | Pastor of Care & Community
"I'm captivated by the vision of what "could be" if the gospel takes root in the life of our church community and our city. This is what drives me each and every day."
Kenneth grew up in Harlem in a nominal Christian home. It wasn't until he went away to college on a baseball scholarship that he encountered Jesus personally, and was profoundly changed. He accepted the call of God on his life, and left behind a professional career in baseball to become a pastor. His deepest desire is to engage our city with the good news of Jesus Christ; by sharing his faith with a love and respect that invites both Christians and non-Christians to encounter Jesus.
Kenneth graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Church Ministries. He currently lives in Harlem with his wife Shanika and their rottweiler Zoe.
